Downtown Party Network, AKA Lithuanian duo Algirdas Miescionaitis and Mindaugas Lapinskis, already come with an excellent pedigree of disco licked tunes for quality imprints like Eskimo, Is It Balearic? Recordings and Dirt Crew. And so their debut appearance on Futureboogie seems like a most comfortable fit, with the ‘Disco Ball Drama’ extended player providing three shining examples of their delicious grooves. Title cut, ‘Disco Ball Drama’ cuts a familiar beat with a rolling and gritty acid-like arpeggio, the classy pads smoothing out the rougher edges and providing huge swashes of sunshine moments on this real mid-season winner.
